   The Practical Driving Test

Streetwize School of Motoring will book and prepare you for the practical driving test. However, if you do not meet the standards legally required by the Driving Standards Agency, we are expected by them to withhold the use of the school car – it would be unsafe to do otherwise. This also includes if you are unwell at the time of test. We cannot be held liable for the test in this situation.

We cannot be held liable for any tests cancelled by the Driving Standards Agency. However, we will do everything possible to help you rebook your test and reclaim any out of pocket expenses.

On the day of your test, both you and your instructor will check the car to make sure it meets the required standards. However, vehicles breakdown from time to time and whilst we will do all we can to avoid this, we again cannot be held responsible for events beyond our control.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you bring both parts of your driving licence (or paper licence and passport if you do not have a photocard licence) and your theory test pass certificate with you for the day of your test! We will remind you the night before but it’s down to you on the day!

 Cancellation and Payment Policy

All deposits should be included at the time of booking and are non-refundable. This is to cover costs of booking the driving test, materials, administration costs and reserving lesson times. Deposits are 25% of the full course fees.

Cheques should  be made payable to Streetwize

Full course fees must be paid within one month of the course commencement date. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the start date will result in a refund of the course fees less the deposit. With less than 14 days notice, the full course fees will be charged.

For our part, if for some unforeseeable reason we have to cancel your course with less than 14 days notice, we will reschedule your course at a time to suit both parties. Once underway, if some of your lessons have to be cancelled, these will be rearranged to one of the other days of your course to make sure you get the full tuition time.

 Data Protection

All the staff at Streetwize School of Motoring agree to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and guarantee not to pass on any details to third parties, without express consent of you, the learner. However, in undertaking the course you are agreeing that in the event of a potential insurance claim your details may be passed on to our insurance company to allow for the claim to be processed.
